We love to meet other creative people and collaborate with them no matter if it's beer or not. Collaboration is an amazing action that can help us connect with other people. When we collaborate we always exchange ideas and techniques.

Sharing knowledge is one of the reasons why craft beer exists in this form today.

First sour beer in Myanmar

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

Slovenia

As spontaneous as it gets, this was a collaboration with Omnivar from Slovenia. We were enjoying some beer at our taproom and we came across another beer enthusiast. They were a couple from Slovenia and they were enjoying a holiday in Vietnam. After a bit we found out that Miha was the founder of a Slovenian brewery called Omnivar. After discussing our favorite beer styles we came up with an Idea of making a beer together. Miha has never made kettle sour beer at that time as he focuses on more traditional styles and was interested in trying this technique.

As it was getting close to the end of their holiday in Vietnam and they were already exhausted from tourist attractions it was easy to convince Miha and his girlfriend to come to our brewery and execute our plan of making sour beer. We inspire ourselves with local street beer drinking snacks, green mango with chilli and salt. We spent a long day at the brewery exchanging stories and knowledge about beer and produced one of my favorite sour beers for that year. We have promised to each other that we will see each other next time in Slovenia when I will be back in Europe. I plan to hold on to my promise.

Korea

Paul and Andy from Gorilla Brewing based in Busan, Korea (different Paul and Andy), have visited our brewery in 2018. Coincidentally, they were our so-called twins as we match their first names in English. This British duo brewed a fantastic Pale Ale with us, which they very successfully launched here as well as in Korea.

Having Paul (Gorilla) on-hand and Andy (Winking Seal) felt it would be a great opportunity to do another collaboration - a sour beer. This one experienced substantial success as well, on our own turf. We hope to do another collaborative brew with these innovative and easy-going gents in the near future.
