Three on a Bike - a small balcony project going big.
Three on a Bike idea was formed at the back seat of a taxi on the way from Pasteur Street Brewing's first anniversary party in Saigon. The name of the project is inspired by locals driving motorbikes of three and sometimes more passengers. At that time, the original trio was already in the home brewing, though not in the Vietnamese craft beer business yet. “There's a lack of choice for good beers here, why don’t we make some for our own satisfaction?” Andy asked the team back then.
The premier beer, an IPA style named Bohemian Bastard, made its way to popular expatriate venues like Saigon Outcast, Indika or Biacraft. The ‘Bastard’ became instantly popular, the attractive label and the unique taste were simply an undeniable combo. As his little brother Kosmonavt, an IPA as well, was coming up to the scene and fairly catching up with the Bastard, the ambitious brewing duo realized it was time to bring the business up a notch. An opportunity emerged to work with Winking Seal.
