In the late 10th century, two knights-errant stopped their travels in Slovakia. The two shared a name - Pazmany, which they passed on to the families they raised. In 1570, Peter Pazmany was born, and he grew up to be a noteworthy philosopher, theologian, and Archbishop who created the Hungarian literary language, and founded a Slovakian university. In 1647, another nephew, Georgius Pazmany, received a writ from Ferdinand III, King of Hungary, Croatia, Bohemia, and the Holy Roman Empire, elevating the Pazmany clan to the royal court. In 2021, another nephew, Andrej Pazmany, son of Jan, and friend of Pavol and Tuyen, got homesick and made a beer in Saigon, Vietnam.
This beer is dedicated to Jan Pazmany, who is not an archbishop, or royal, but a great father and friend.
